I have started using Ash in a couple of greenfield projects I am solo developing and my experience with Claude has been rather good. That is not to say that there isn’t truth on some of the points laid out here (steep learning curve, etc…).
I would highlight that Ash is probably not an Elixir beginner library, BUT it is a game changer if you decide to go all in (and have gathered enough Elixir experience to dive in).
I had been looking at Ash from a distance for a long time, and finally decided to go in after reading the book. I am very happy with my approach and decision.
So if the itch to look into Ash persists as you keep working with Elixir, take a closer look. It may be worth your time.
