Ben beat me to the question so I’ll just add that if you simply want to convert an existing program and NOT do it at runtime while accepting user input then using a tool like GitHub - ast-grep/ast-grep: ⚡A CLI tool for code structural search, lint and rewriting. Written in Rust · GitHub that parses code properly and can replace it should be more than enough.
