Emacs Elixir syntax checking not working

Yes I do have

(use-package flycheck
  :ensure t
  :delight " ✓"
  :init (global-flycheck-mode))

and I also noticed that I had

(use-package flycheck-mix
  :ensure t
  :init (add-hook 'flycheck-mode-hook #'flycheck-credo-setup))

instead of

(use-package flycheck-mix
  :ensure t
  :init (add-hook 'flycheck-mode-hook #'flycheck-mix-setup))

but that hasn’t solved my problem. I’ll look into VScode as suggested.
