I can’t really contribute to the discussion as this flies over my head in terms of knowledge, yes, I did read “Designing Data-Intensive Applications” and had Distributed Systems courses back in Uni times but DB stuff is still pretty much an unknown domain to me. 
Anyway, just wanted to congratulate you for the release! Been digging through the source code, pretty cool stuff. 
Also, the first Database should have been called Calvinex!
