Otherwise, I’ve always thought of “mutability” to always refer to physically changing the memory, or at the very least immediately freeing the previous allocation. Under that definition even same-scope rebinds have not been mutated, though ya, you could say the “variable” was mutated. So maybe mut isn’t so off-base. But I could still see it causing confusion as I can’t be the only one who made that assumption—unless I am ![]()
