I don’t see why you think the “checking the imports” is simple but “checking the base class(es)” isn’t

For me it’s about being easy, it’s about being disruptive to jump between files. Though I recently discovered a few keyboard shortcuts in NeoVim that allow you not only to jump to definition but to also jump after. Pretty nice!
