Stealth Kitty - encrypted terminal chat for Proton Lumo

Hi! I’ve built Stealth Kitty, an unofficial Elixir client and terminal chat for Proton Lumo. It works in guest mode without a token, or with an existing Proton bearer token.

The TUI uses Terra and supports Markdown, highlighted code, model switching, Thinking mode, web search, and local file attachments. There’s also a one-shot CLI and an Elixir API. Conversation history stays in memory.

To try the terminal chat after cloning the repo:

mix deps.get
mix stealth_kitty.tui

It uses an unofficial endpoint, so Proton protocol changes may require updates.

Since the first release, Stealth Kitty has added:

  1. Multiple conversations with a hideable sidebar for switching between them. Conversations stay in memory for the current run.
  2. Markdown replies and syntax highlighting for more than 200 languages.
  3. Three terminal themes: Classic, Ocean, and Amber.
  4. A cleaner control layout that works better in narrow terminals, plus improved long-prompt editing and navigation.
  5. Scroll position, incomplete-reply markers, and a shortcut guide.
  6. An ASCII cat on the empty conversation screen.
  7. A Ctrl+L picker for Lumo’s web, weather, stock, cryptocurrency, and Proton information tools. Tool choices are kept per conversation.
