Elixir Engineer Seeking Remote Opportunities
Hi everyone! I’m Andrew (“Nature”) Okoye, an Elixir Engineer with a background in full-stack JavaScript and several years of experience building production software.
Over the past few years, I’ve been focused on the Elixir ecosystem, working with Elixir, Phoenix, OTP, PostgreSQL, Telemetry, and React/TypeScript to build scalable, maintainable systems. I enjoy designing backend architecture just as much as building polished user experiences, and I’m comfortable owning features from database design through deployment.
Outside of my day-to-day work, I actively contribute to the Elixir community through open source and technical writing. Some of my projects include:
- NatureWhistle – a telemetry-driven monitoring and alerting library for Elixir applications.
- DevPulse – an Elixir-based developer activity and monitoring platform currently under development.
- Technical articles covering topics such as Telemetry, OTP, and the BEAM to help other developers deepen their understanding of Elixir.
I’m looking for a remote Elixir Backend or Full Stack role where I can help build reliable products, collaborate with a thoughtful engineering team, and continue growing as an engineer.
If your team is hiring—or if you know of an opportunity that might be a good fit—I’d love to connect. You can reach me here on the forum or via my social handles:
